Mark Sollars from Canada is now $20,000 richer thanks to an amazing performance in the final of the Boost Mobile SnoSho presented by LG. While the wild weather in Perisher added a further challenge to the competition, Mark performed impeccably on the night stomping every trick in the SnoSho Jam Session and all five mandatory tricks on the game show wheel.

The final kicked off with the world’s longest rail contest which saw Aussie rider Robbie Walker slide a massive 39.95m to win $5,000 cash, then the SnoSho Jam Session gave riders the opportunity to throw down some extremely difficult tricks in the free-for-all format to impress the judges. The trick of the night was from 15 year-old Aussie rider, Scotty James who nailed his first double back flip in his competition career.

The six top scoring riders who made it through to the SnoSho final were Mark Sollars (Canada), Marko Grilc (Slovenia), Jacob Koia (New Zealand), Scotty Lago (USA), Eric Willett (USA) and Jye Kearney (Australia). The unique game show style format saw riders perform tricks randomly selected from a spinning game show wheel and with each successful trick, the judges awarded a letter to spell the word B-O-O-S-T.

Mark was first to complete all five tricks – a Frontside 9, Cab Corked 5, Frontside 10, Frontside 7 and Frontside 9 to take out the Boost Mobile SnoSho Winner’s title and the $20,000 cash. For more information visit the official event website at www.boostsnosho.com.au.
