Winner of The Red Bul Gap Session 2008 Chris Sorman won thanks to his higher- than-everyone-else amplitude and super stylish tricks on the hip in San Francisco.

This year’s event wasn’t as spectacular as last year’s but even though it was set up on the parking lot in front of AT&T center snowboarders like Chris Sörman, Jake Black, Wyatt Caldwell, Brandon Cocard, Chas Guldemond, Tim Humphreys, Pat Milbery, Hampus Mosesson, Shayne Pospisil, Charles Reid, Ian Thorley, Bobby Witty, Seth Hill managed to pull some good tricks to make crowd happy.

The jump was a hip and there was a catapult to bring the riders up to speed. The snow melted fast and contestants didn’t get much speed but it was enough to see double backlip by Ian Thorley, big bs airs by Chas Guldemond and Shane Pospisil, Wayatt Caldwel’s cab 5 and smooth operator Chris Sörman in action.
