Traditionally, just like before every other season, also this year Transworld Snowboarding held its famous Good Wood board test. Riders tested over 175 boards and believe me, they treated these bad boys really nasty! Below are this season’s winners, divided (as usual) into few categories:

Looking at these results you can see clearly domination of the biggest manufacurers like: Mervin MFG, Burton, K2 & Ride. Where are the other brands gone remains a question. What’s more, pretty much all of the winners come from USA and you can get the feeling that Europe or Canada doesn’t exist on the snowboarding market which isn’t true.

There might a good reason for that. The winning brands are those who invest in innovating and developing hardware the most. Check out the amount of boards with magna traction, rocker or banana skate. It’s getting more and more popular and this season boards from Lib Tech, Gnu, Rossignol, Rome, K2, Burton and Signal will have it.

For sure it’s worth to pay attention to Good Wood but sometimes it seems that the most wealthy companies are winning it. Let’s hope it doesn’t work that way. In the meantime check out how the test was done.
