Apart from this year, last few winters didn’t pamper snow fans. And when there is no snow probably you won’t see a snowpark in your home resort. But here comes the XXI century with its technology enabling you create your own backyard park. To make this happen you only need two things – snow and a lift.
For years snowmaking has been confined to Ski Resorts, where large snowmaking systems provide the key element for the Ski industry, SNOW. These systems require huge quantities of water and an expensive infrastructure of pipes, high capacity pumps, and compressors to make the snow that keeps the resorts in business.
But how to make the snow in the backyard?
It’s simple as that. The patented Blizzard Sport is a complete snowmaking system capable of making approximately 50 cubic feet of snow per hour. Outfitted with an air compressor and high-pressure water pump, the machine operates with water fed from a garden hose and power from a single 20 amp electrical outlet. (Requires operating temperatures of approximately 25 degrees F or below). Cost: $2,400 (plus shipping).
And what about the lift?
Here comes another device – The Heine Snow Tools winch. It works great for urban snowboarding, you can snowboard anywhere, no hill needed to get that speed for any jump or jib (such as wallrides, handrails, gap jumps, etc). The Heine Snow Tools winch allows you to have instant acceleration from speeds up to 35 mph (variable speed throttle). Plus this winch is great for wake boarding, wake skating and even ocean surfing. So if you have a spare 5000$ you can make your own park practically everywhere you want. This is what I call modernity.
