For a 2nd time running, this glacier mountain village will host the final stop along the unequaled “Swatch TTR Snowboard World Tour”. SNICKERS CLASSIC and POPCORN WALL RIDE, along with hosts Frederik Kalbermatten and Marco Schwab, offer up the perfect season finale: knock-out snowboarding set to the sounds of a revved-up party program against the backdrop of the Swiss Alps.
The Popcorn crew, which includes Fredi Kalbermatten and Marco Schwab, are currently immersed in preparations for the upcoming legendary season finale of this 10-month tour. Backed by a dedicated crew as well as a 3-star rating for last year’s premiere performance of the Snickers Classic and Popcorn Wall, this year’s event is sure to capture 4 stars. TTR events have gained enormous popularity over the past five years and the tour’s global recognition has managed to revitalize competitive snowboarding. Snowboarding’s global stars are expected to turn up at Saas-Fee ready to fight it out for the crown, as the mountains reverberate with the sounds of top bands and beats thrown down by DJs at the legendary parties in Popcorn and the Living Room Bar.
The sensation is perfect. Burton confirmed the participance of Shaun White at this years Snickers Classic & Popcorn Wallride in Saas-Fee. This Swatch TTR Four (4) Star Event gets an extra superstar. After the Burton European Open in Laax this is White’s second visit in Europe this year ever. After posting five exceptional results from top-level competitions on the Tour, Shaun will be looking to improve his end-of-season ranking by earning his 6th and final result in Saas-Fee. Nevertheless, Kevin Pearce (USA) will remain the TTR Tour Champion following an incredible season that lead up to the Tour defining, and Champion crowning event, the 6-Star Burton US Open.
